STARRYSKY est un groupe de rock fortement inspiré par la musique asiatique et les génériques d'anime.

Malgré des chansons essentiellement en français et/ou en anglais - certains titres et albums sortant en deux versions - le son du groupe est définitivement JRock. C’est donc à travers une approche profondément musicale que les influences asiatiques se manifestent.

Basé à Lille et Bruxelles, le projet s'est constitué sur internet, et capture leur amour pour les mondes de l’imaginaire dans des œuvres à la pointe du numérique, s’efforçant de mélanger techniques de composition asiatiques à la production moderne occidentale. En naît une musique aux teintes de pop japonaise et de metal progressif, parfois qualifié de Jpop-Metal.

Malgré un répertoire 100% chansons originales, STARRYSKY est l'artiste le plus programmé en conventions manga francophones avec ses nombreux concerts à Japan Expo, Paris Manga, Made in Asia, TGS, Polymanga, etc... et performe également depuis 2022 à l'international en tant qu'artiste officiel pour HoYoverse (Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail) à Gamescom ou encore Boardmasters

Au-delà des nombreuses collaborations avec le web français – Squeezie, Joueur du Grenier, Noob, Maliki, Sora, Louis-San, KaraL entre autres - et les voix françaises de la pop-culture - PADG, Jean-Marc Anthony Kabeya, Geneviève Doang, Adeline Chetail - l’univers du groupe se développe à travers des albums-concepts, racontant une seule histoire continue qui met en scène les membres eux-mêmes dans une réalité alternative. En novembre 2020, le financement de l’album "Timeshift - l'album à l'envers" récolte 142 500 €, devenant 2ème record musical sur Ulule juste derrière Stupeflip.
Le groupe signe également des titres officiels intégrés en jeu vidéo tels que Stellar Blade (Sony Interactive Entertainment), Nikke: Goddess of Victory (Tencent/Shift Up) ou encore Maliki: Poison of the Past (Ankama/Blue Banshee), dont ils composent et dirigent l'intégralité de la bande-son incluant une co-création avec Motoi Sakuraba (Dark Souls, Tales Of, Golden Sun)

Juillet 2025 marque la sortie d'un nouvel album "Now and Here" qui dépasse le million d'écoutes sur les plateformes de streaming en deux mois, avec notamment un titre co-écrit et co-interprêté avec Mika Kobayashi (Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill, Gundam Unicorn)

STARRYSKY is a rock band strongly inspired by Asian music and anime openings.

Although its songs are mainly in French or English - some tracks coming out in two versions, one for each language, like the entire last album - the band's sound is definitely JRock. It is therefore through a purely musical approach that Asian influences manifest themselves.

Based in Lille and Brussels, the project was formed on the internet, and captures their love for geek pop-culture and imaginary worlds in orchestrations at the cutting edge of digital technology, striving to blend Asian composition techniques with modern Western production. The result is rock music with shades of Japanese pop and progressive metal, sometimes described as Jpop-Metal.

Despite a repertoire of 100% original songs, STARRYSKY is the most programmed artist at French-speaking manga conventions with their numerous concerts at Japan Expo, Paris Manga, Made in Asia, TGS, Polymanga, and also performs internationally as official artist for Genshin Impact (Gamescom, Boardmasters).

Beyond the numerous collaborations with the French web - Squeezie (biggest french YouTuber with 18M subs), Joueur du Grenier, Noob (biggest french web series), Maliki (biggest french online comic) among others - the band's universe develops through concept albums, telling a single continuous story which features the members themselves in an alternate reality. In November 2020, the album "Timeshift – the backwards album" raised €142,500, becoming the 2nd most funded musical project on Ulule.
The band is also officially featured in songs integrated into video games such as Stellar Blade (Sony Interactive Entertainment), Nikke: Goddess of Victory (Tencent/Shift Up), and Maliki: Poison of the Past (Ankama/Blue Banshee), for which they composed and directed the entire soundtrack, including a co-creation with Motoi Sakuraba (Dark Souls, Tales Of, Golden Sun).
